When Brad and I lost our little Gabriel on August 17, 2009, it was the worst day of our lives.  We were fortunate enough to be able to bury and say goodbye, for now, to our little man.  The stress of losing our son was so great and then the added stress of funeral arrangements made the stress and fear increase.

Upon speaking with a local funeral home director, we found out that there are many families that are unable to afford a proper burial for their child.  Although many donations are available for families, there is still about a cost of $1,500.  The Foundation wants to assist these families with this burden.  The funeral director also informed me that many families even leave their infants at the hospitals because they have no funds.  These stories broke my heart.  I could not imagine being a mother going through the grieving process and not having the closure of the farewell I chose.
